Dwelling In The Presence of God

Dwell means to live in, or at a specified place, other words we can use are abide remain, reside, be settled, be housed, lodge, and stay. So, you are encouraged to dwell, live where God lives. Stay where God stays and communicate with him more all the time

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” John 15:1-6 KJV

You will be staying "Under the shadow of the Almighty" can mean "in the presence of God." God is always surrounding you and in His presence all good is yours. Having this Understanding enables you to be at peace, whatever your present circumstances. No matter what you're going through, know that as you align yourself with Lord he is right there with you, providing companionship, confidence, counsel, and comfort. Ye though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil why? Because the Lord is with you He who [a]dwells in the shelter of the Most High.

Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. Rest describes the path to God the Father, but it is not one of labor and hard work. Following Jesus frees us from carrying the burden of our own sin because He has already done that work. All we need to do is put our faith, hope, and trust in Jesus by systematically aligning with God.

On Security We can fully trust our security in the Lord only after we know our identity in Christ Jesus. As we believe in Him, we become God’s children and that means our heavenly Father takes total care and full responsibility for our lives as we surrender to Him.

Reasons why we must dwell in the presence of God

  1. He will protect us (sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble).

"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place". . .Psalm 91:1, 9 The Lord protected Moses as a little child

  2. He will keep you perfect in his presence

"One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple. 5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock." Psalm 27:4-5

Aesthetically, we are moved by beautiful music, beautiful paintings, and beautiful images we like on Instagram. We respond to beauty instinctually. The beauty of the Lord can be defined as God possessing everything in His character that is desirable. Everything that is good and righteous has its ultimate fulfillment in God. Everything God does is beautiful in its God-glorifying nature if we stay in his presence.

  3. He will give us satisfaction

"You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever." Psalm 16:11.

Many unhappy people are spending their lives chasing things when nothing can keep us satisfied except God Himself. When we keep our priorities straight, we discover that everything we need in life is found in God. Seek to dwell in His presence. In Him is the path of life, the fullness of joy, and pleasures forevermore.

The reason we can laugh and enjoy life despite our current circumstances is that Jesus is our joy. Our joy is not dependent on happenings, if it did what would happen now. Look at the economy? Expenditure is higher than the salary. There are predictions that some countries are going to go into recession.
